LOS ANGELES , October 12, 2011 () – Caustic soda producers in Europe expect a significant tightening of supply over the next several months, EUWID reported Oct. 11.

Market sources told EUWID that caustic soda producers for the European market are planning to aggressively push for price hikes in the fourth quarter.

Most of the negotiations in southern Europe have wrapped up, but discussions in central Europe are reportedly entering a critical stage. Market players are predicting increases despite current levels of adequate supply.
