BELMONT, California , October 11, 2011 (press release) – SunEdison Opens Headquarters in Solar-Friendly Belmont, California; Focuses on Long-Term Global Growth

SunEdison, a leading global provider of solar energy services and subsidiary of MEMC Electronic Materials (NYSE: WFR), was joined yesterday by California Governor Jerry Brown and other government officials and special guests to recognize the opening of the company's global headquarters in Belmont, California.

SunEdison has more than 340 megawatts of solar energy generation capacity deployed across 500 government, commercial and utility solar energy projects making it the largest solar energy services provider in North America. Joining Governor Brown and Domenech at the event were Board of Equalization member Betty Yee; Assemblyman Jerry Hill; Senator Leland Yee; and Belmont Mayor Coralin Feierbach.
