Häagen-Dazs steps up Philippines expansion through franchising and outlets

Los Angeles , October 2, 2011 () – Häagen-Dazs is stepping up a Philippines rollout through franchising and outlets, Philippine Daily Inquirer reported Sept. 23.

The company, a subsidiary of General Mills Inc., plans to double its stores in Metro Manila, as part of an Asian expansion strategy, according to regional marketing director Trevor Pickard.

New stores, primarily in shopping centers visited by families and young professionals, will come in a variety of formats, including kiosks, fit-in, stand-outs and full-menu cafes.
