Fibrek Inc. is reducing its Oct. 1 northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) pulp list price in North America by US$20 per tonne, to $950/tonne.
After Canfor Pulp LP led the plan on Sept. 26, several other producers also followed, including Domtar Corp., West Fraser Timber Co., and Tembe Inc.
Fibrek operates three mills, with a combined annual production capacity of 760,000 tonnes. The facilities include its NBSK mill in Saint-Félicien, Québec, and two recycled bleached kraft pulp (RBK) mills, located in Fairmont, West Virginia, and in Menominee, Michigan.
