A structural fire at AbitibiBowater Inc.’s pulp and paper mill in Thunder Bay, Ontario, sent five to the hospital for related injuries on Sept. 12, TBNewswatch.com reported Sept. 13.
Four people received treatment for smoke inhalation while one received a head injury when workers began battling the fire, which was found in the mill’s No. 5 paper machine.
The mill produces market pulp, newsprint and commercial printing papers and has an annual capacity of 579,000 tonnes, according to the company’s website. AbitibiBowater employs 470 at the .
