HOBART, Australia , September 9, 2011 (press release) – Director EPA Alex Schaap has received a submission from Gunns and will be considering it at the earliest opportunity.

Mr Schaap last week requested that Gunns provide him with a submission setting out the reasons why the company believes substantial commencement has occurred.

Mr Schaap said he received the submission Wednesday evening.

“I anticipate that I will need to seek legal advice on the issues raised in my consideration of that submission and I will then make a determination as soon as possible and hopefully next week,” Mr Schaap said.

“Gunns has suggested to me that given the public interest, the main body of the submission should be released to the public when I make my decision and I intend to do so.”
