RPC Containers UKSC supplying HDPE jars for Horlicks 200g pack sizes of Malt Choc and Malt drinking powder as brand switches to plastic packaging from composite cans

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE, England , September 8, 2011 (press release) – RPC Containers UKSC is supplying an HDPE jar for the Horlicks® 200g pack sizes of Malt Choc and Malt drinking powder.

The famous brand promises to help consumers "unwind for a good night’s sleep,” simply by adding hot water to the Horlicks mixture. The 200g variant is the smallest size in the Horlicks range, ensuring that consumers can enjoy the great taste whatever their budget.

Packed for the makers of Horlicks by Aimia Foods, the drink has previously been packaged in a composite can. The switch to plastics reflects the material’s versatility as a durable pack format combining eye-catching shelf presence and recyclability.

RPC UKSC has supplied the blow moulded jar in natural HDPE, which is then capped and decorated by Aimia using a shrink sleeve.

"We have a strong relationship with RPC, and have been impressed with the versatility of this HDPE jar,” explains Jonathan Lee of Aimia Foods. "We are confident that its combination of good looks and functionality will enhance the Horlicks experience for consumers.”
