– PriceSmart Inc.'s revenue at warehouse clubs open at least 13.5 months rose 17.7 percent in August.
This figure is a key indicator of a warehouse club operator's performance because it excludes results from clubs recently opened or closed.
PriceSmart said Thursday that total revenue for the five weeks ended Sept. 4 climbed 21.5 percent to $148.3 million.
For the year-to-date, revenue at warehouse clubs open at least 13.5 months increased 18.1 percent, while total revenue rose 22.7 percent to $1.68 billion.
PriceSmart, based in San Diego, had 29 warehouse clubs at August's end. The company runs membership warehouse clubs in Central America and the Caribbean.
