– Finnforest Deutschland is focusing on the sale of its own products and withdrawing from trading in imported plywood from other manufacturers, German industry news service Euwid reported on Sept. 8.
CEO Michael Menz said the company planned to buy imported plywood in minimal quantities to supplement Finnforest's existing product portfolio.
In recent years, Finnforest has progressively withdrawn Southeast Asian and South American plywood, and now plans to reduce purchases of standard ranges of birch plywood from Russia.
