Verso Paper announces US$30/ton price increase in North America for supercalendered papers

Verso Paper Corp. has announced a US$30 per ton (US$1.50/cwt) price increase for all of its supercalendered (SC) papers in North America, effective with all orders entered immediately and all orders shipping on or after Oct. 1.
The products affected are Clarity Plus, Clarity A, and Clarity B, including all grades, basis weights, bulks, and finishes.
Verso made the announcement on Sept. 6.
Based in Memphis, Tennessee, Verso specializes in freesheet and groundwood papers for publishers, catalogers, advertisers and commercial print producers. It has mills in Bucksport and Jay, Maine, Quinessec, Michigan, and Sartell, Minnesota.
