Japan Tobacco to invest up to €25M to add new cigarette production lines at Bucharest, Romania, factory, expected to become operational by end of September

– Japan Tobacco Inc.’s cigarette factory in Bucharest, Romania, will receive new production lines as part of a €25 million (US$36 million) investment to increase output in the country by 2012, Bloomberg reported Sept. 3.
The new lines are expected to begin operations by the end of September, according to a company email.
Japan Tobacco has invested €20 million since 2009 on raising production at the Bucharest factory.
