P&G's Charmin brand breaks Guinness World Record on National Toilet Paper Day with world's largest toilet paper roll, contains more than 1,000,000 sq. ft. of paper; would take about 95,000 rolls of Charmin to equal the same amount of paper

– The Procter & Gamble Charmin brand kicked off National Toilet Paper Day on August 26, with GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS, to announce a new record for the World's Largest Toilet Roll.
Measuring more than eight feet high with a diameter of more than nine feet wide, the World's Largest Toilet Roll is made entirely of Charmin toilet tissue. The roll was fabricated at the P&G Paper Products Company, located outside of Cape Girardeau, MO, and then transported to the company's headquarters in Cincinnati, OH for the unveiling.
"The roll contains over 1,000,000 square feet of paper and would take approximately 95,000 rolls of Charmin to equal the same amount of paper," said Darrick Johnson, plant manager at the P&G Paper Products Company, located outside of Cape Girardeau, MO. "We were sad to see it go but excited for its new record-breaking honor."
The roll is spending National Toilet Paper Day on display in front of the P&G headquarters in Cincinnati, OH, where the visiting public will be able to get up close to it and pose for photos.

Following the roll's appearance in Cincinnati, it will be shipped to Ripley's Believe It or Not, where they will then decide on a showcase location for the roll in one of their museums.
