Kleenex Cottonelle Toilet Paper has become the first product of its kind to feature the WWF logo on its packaging as part of the Love Your Forests campaign.
This follows Kleenex Cottonelle’s Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification, which was granted in 2010.
Parent company, Kimberly-Clark Australia also received FSC certification in 2010 for its other locally-manufactured paper products including: Kleenex Facial Tissue and Viva Paper Towel.
The recent certification ties in with Kleenex Cottonelle and Kimberly-Clark’s involvement with the WWF Love Your Forests campaign, which was launched this year to coincide with the UN International Year of Forests.
Robyn Eicker, Marketing Manager for Kleenex Cottonelle Toilet Paper is pleased to be supporting the campaign, “Kleenex Cottonelle is proud to be featuring the WWF logo on its packaging and even prouder to be supporting such an important cause.
"The Love Your Forests campaign is one that we’re thrilled to be a part of as we work together to spread the message of environmental responsibility further,” she said.
WWF’s Love your Forests campaign aims to raise awareness amongst consumers of the FSC eco-label and the importance of responsible forest management. Products featuring the FSC logo have been made using only recycled materials or materials from responsibly managed forests and exclude materials from illegal logging activities.
