LOS ANGELES , August 16, 2011 () – Mary's River Lumber Co. is planning a temporary curtailment at its sawmill in Philomath, Oregon, according to a report by Random Lengths.

The company said the reason for the curtailment is weak demand because of the slow U.S. home construction market.

The manufacturer and processor of Western red cedar is headquartered in Corvallis, Oregon, and has other operations in Montesano and Elma, Washington. Company officials said operations at all other locations would continue.
