Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. (BCI) completed the purchase of Empire State Container, Inc. and T&T Packaging LLC, Syracuse, NY, on June 30, 2011.
Empire started in 1979 and was previously owned by Jim Trombino and Syd Tenenbaum. Since its inception, Empire has been regarded as one of the leading independent sheet plants in central New York, providing exceptional service and products to its customers.

BCI, and employee-owned company, operates eight independent sheet plants, a sales and design center, and a packaging supplies business in eight states throughout the East, Midwest and South.
