Heinz' Dip & Squeeze Ketchup packaging receives silver DuPont Award for Packaging Innovation, NRA's Food & Beverage Product Innovation Award

Heinz Company is pleased to announce that its Heinz® Dip & Squeeze® Ketchup, the packaging innovation that allows for both dipping and squeezing and holds three times as much Heinz® Ketchup as the traditional packet, has been honored with two leading industry awards for innovation.

Today, the revolutionary new product designed to fit consumers’ on-the-go lifestyle was honored with a Silver award in Innovation from the prestigious DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation. Now in its 23rd year, the DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation is the industry's longest-running, global, independently judged celebration of innovation and collaboration throughout the value chain. Each year an esteemed panel awards diamond, gold or silver honors based on “excellence” in one, two or all of three categories: Innovation; Sustainability; and Cost/Waste Reduction.

The product, touted for helping drive customer satisfaction and profitability for restaurant and foodservice operators nationwide, was showcased in the Food & Beverage Product Innovations Gallery at the 2011 National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show at Chicago’s McCormick Place May 21-24.
