Macy's Inc., which runs its namesake and Bloomingdale's stores, plans to open three new Bloomingdale's outlets in the fall.
The retailer, which now has four Bloomingdale's outlets, said Monday that the new stores will be in shopping centers in Estero, Fla.; Wrentham, Mass.; and Schaumburg, Ill. The Florida outlet is set to open in September. The other two are scheduled for October.
"We continue to see opportunity for growth, and these three new locations will help us to extend the geographic reach of Bloomingdale's outlets and introduce the concept to new customers," Bloomingdale's Chairman and CEO Michael Gould said in a statement.
Macy's said it is considering opening more Bloomingdale's outlets.
The existing Bloomingdale's outlets, which opened last fall, are in Paramus, N.J.; Miami; Woodbridge, Va.; and Sunrise, Fla. The outlets offer clothing and accessories.
Macy's, which has corporate offices in New York and Cincinnati, runs about 850 department stores.
