Austrian specialty paper maker Delfortgroup announces €80/tonne price increase on release liner effective in May, blames higher manufacturing costs

TRAUN, Austria , April 22, 2011 (press release) – Delfortgroup, leading producer of speciality papers, reports implementation of price increase of Release Base Papers. Delfortgroup manufactures Release Base Papers in its paper mills in Dunafin (HU), Tervakoski (FI) and Feurstein (A).

According to Fabrizio Gaiero, Business Director, “the consolidated hike in manufacturing costs of Release Base Paper leads the market to the necessity of further price increase; a minimum increase of € 80,-/ton is going to be effective from May 2011; our outlook is for still continuous upward trend of papermaking cost in the remaining part of the year so that further price adjustments are to be expected accordingly”.
