NewPage announces US/C$60 per ton price increase for certain coated freesheet paper grades, effective June 1 for U.S. and Canadian customers

NewPage Corp. today told customers that it will increase its price of certain coated freesheet (CFS) paper grades by US/C$3.00 per cwt (US/C$60 per ton), effective with all new and existing orders with confirmed delivery dates of June 1 or later.
The affected brands are Anthem, Fortune, and Gusto.
The increase applies to all basis weights, finishes, and private label programs.
The Miamisburg, Ohio-based New Page recently announced April 7 US/C$40 per ton price increases for coated freesheet and coated groundwood paper web grades for the U.S. and Canada. Several other major producers also announced price increases taking effect in late March and in April.
