Evonik Industries issues new pricing structure for its Visiomer methacrylate monomers, effective in all regions except NAFTA

The Performance Polymers Business Unit of Evonik Industries, one of the world’s leading suppliers of methacrylate chemicals, will raise the prices of its VISIOMER® Methacrylate Monomers. The new pricing structure applies to customers worldwide with exception of NAFTA. NAFTA pricing will be communicated separately by Evonik Cyro LLC, a 100 percent subsidiary of Evonik.
Effective July 01, 2009, as far as permissible under existing agreements, the prices will be increased by the levels indicated below:
Europe:
VISIOMER® Methyl Methacrylate
+ 60 € / mt
VISIOMER® Methacrylic Acid
+ 80 € / mt
VISIOMER® Butyl Methacrylate
+ 80 € / mt
VISIOMER® Methacrylamide
+ 80 € / mt
VISIOMER® Hydroxy Esters
+ 80 € / mt
VISIOMER® Specialty Esters
+ 50 € / mt
Rest of the world (except NAFTA):
VISIOMER® Methyl Methacrylate

VISIOMER® Methacrylic Acid

The price increase is caused by higher costs for raw materials and logistics.
