Ms. Gilbert will highlight how manufacturers and retailers miss opportunities to put eco-friendly products in consumers’ hands, thus leaving dollars in the grocery aisles.
On November 14, Steve Johnson, founder of Foodservice Solution, will explore the success of nontraditional fresh food retailers to capture a larger share of stomach from the legacy chain restaurants and food retailers in a webinar titled: The Rise of the Grocerant: Nontraditional retailers focusing on fresh food, portability, packaging to create family meal cohesion. Johnson will present the new trends among nontraditional food retailers and the most successful ventures.
Liam Barbary, the founder of plastic packaging costs consultancy Benchmark Consulting, will round out the 2012 calendar with a Dec. 5 presentation called: Maintaining stable pricing for flexible packaging in times of turbulent raw material markets. Barbary’s presentation will include the different methods for tracking and managing unit prices and ways to tailor a system suitable to your business.
