PRINTING United Alliance and ASI launch "Branding Together" podcast in January 2025; hosts Cassie Green and Theresa Hegel explore convergence of printing and promotional products industries

January 22, 2025 (press release) –

Hosted by Cassie Green and Theresa Hegel, the new monthly podcast dives into the opportunities and intricacies of the converging print and promotional products industries

As part of the ongoing partnership between PRINTING United Alliance and ASI, the two companies announce a new podcast series dedicated to convergence of the printing and promotional products industries, called “Branding Together.”

Hosted by Cassie Green, content director of Apparelist and editor at PRINTING United Alliance, and Theresa Hegel, executive editor, special projects and sustainability at ASI, the podcast will publish monthly episodes. While the overall goal of the podcast is to educate promotional products distributors (PPDs) about the intricacies of the printing industry, and vice versa, each episode will dive into a specific theme.

Launching in January 2025, Green and Hegel kick things off by sharing the top five things each industry should know about the other, including how to make sure a thorough PO is completed and understanding just how big the promo industry’s scope is.

Designed to be an engaging discussion, Hegel and Green also hope to create an approachable, easy-going vibe where printers and PPDs can learn a thing or two about the incredible opportunity that the convergence provides.

A Wealth of Industry Experience

Both hosts bring many years of industry experience to the podcast, which they feel will add to the depth of the discussion.

Hegel has been with ASI for more than a decade, and during her time in the editorial department, she’s won a slew of B2B journalism awards, including three Jesse H. Neal awards in the competitive category of “Best Range of Work by a Single Author,” most recently in 2023. Prior to joining ASI, she worked as a reporter, copy editor, and page designer for several daily newspapers.

Green has been with the Alliance since 2021, but has been covering the printing industry from a media capacity since 2012. She has experience writing about everything from apparel decoration to wide-format printing, engraving and hard surface embellishment, and more.

Together, the two will provide actionable insights on how to effectively merge print and promotional efforts to create cohesive brand narratives. You can reach Green at cgreen@napco.com, and Hegel at thegel@asicentral.com

Episode one is now live and ready for your listening pleasure! Check it out at Apparelist.com or ASICentral.com.
