We’re pleased to say that Hannah Dreier has won the 2024 Michael Kelly Award for Alone and Exploited, her series on the startling growth of migrant child labor in the United States. The judges described Hannah’s reporting as tenacious and impactful, and noted her “sheer doggedness in uncovering this scandal.” The award honors Michael Kelly, the longtime political reporter — including at The New York Times — and editor of the Atlantic magazine, who was killed in Iraq in 2003, and pays tribute to his “fearless pursuit and expression of truth.” Please join us in congratulating Hannah, whose series you can read here.
