Rising energy prices pose a threat to the entire print value chain, with no possibility of adequate relief. That's why the German Printing and Media Association (bvdm) is pressing for improvements to the relief programs for the printing and media industry. The high electricity and gas prices are increasingly posing an existential threat to the predominantly small and medium-sized companies in the printing and media industry. They are not on the so-called KUEBLL list and therefore do not benefit from the current energy cost containment program (EDKP). That is why the bvdm contacted the Federal Minister of Economics, Dr. Robert Habeck and continues to work to ensure that the group of companies eligible for the energy cost containment program is expanded to include companies in the printing and media industry. We call for a substantial cushioning of the energy cost burden for companies, which goes beyond measures for the short-term provision of liquidity, such as KfW loans.
In order to keep companies up to date in the currently difficult situation and to make important information accessible to them in a bundle, the bvdm presents background information, its political demands, perspectives and helpful information from third parties on its website at www.bvdm-online.de/energiemaerkte/ . (bvdm)
