European Parliament adopts 2026 calendar with 15 plenary sessions; lawmakers schedule 12 sessions in Strasbourg, three in Brussels including Holocaust Remembrance Day

On Wednesday, MEPs adopted a proposal by the Conference of Presidents (EP President Metsola and political group leaders) for Parliament’s 2026 calendar.

Next year, Parliament is scheduled to hold 15 plenary sessions, of which 12 are four-day sessions in Strasbourg, two are two-day sessions in Brussels, and a single one-day session commemorating Holocaust Remembrance Day in Brussels.

The dates are as follows:

- January 19 to 22
- January 27 (International Holocaust Remembrance Day)
- February 9 to 12
- March 9 to 12
- March 25 to 26
- April 27 to 30
- May 18 to 21
- June 15 to 18
- July 6 to 9
- September 14 to 17
- October 5 to 8
- October 19 to 22
- November 11 and 12
- November 23 to 26
- December 14 to 17
