June 16, 2023 (press release) –

There was a security hole in the MOVEit data transfer software from the software company Progress, which was exploited by an international hacker group at HEIDELBERG as well as at numerous other companies.

After becoming aware of this, we immediately updated the systems with the security patch provided by Progress and started several comprehensive manual and thorough data analyses. These led to the realization late Thursday, June 15, that files had been stolen. We are currently working diligently and in detail to analyze what specific data was affected. The MOVEit system is now offline company wide.
