VOLPAK, a Coesia company, is participating at Interpack 2023 (Coesia booth - Hall 6 - Booth D31-D57) and presenting its latest solutions focused on automation and sustainability, fundamental pillars of the GREENMATION manifesto for this show.

GREENMATION - Industrial automation for a Sustainable future

At Interpack 2023 Coesia presents GREENMATION, Coesia's response to the current trend prompted by the consumer demands towards reusable and recyclable packaging solutions, while manufacturers face labor shortages and production cost increases. "In this complex situation, Coesia believes that the answer to this profitability-threatening challenge lies in supporting a revolution in production which is capable of combining the principles of automation and sustainability in the industries of Food & Beverage, Pharma & Personal Care, and Cross Industry Automation," says Alessandro Parimbelli, Coesia Chief Executive Officer.

The Coesia booth will be structured into three areas (Food & Beverage, Pharma & Personal Care, and Cross Industry Automation) where technicians and experts will showcase the latest solutions presented by the Group: ACMA, Atlantic Zeiser, CITUS KALIX, EMMECI, FlexLink, G.D, GF, HAPA, NORDEN, R.A Jones, and VOLPAK.

VOLPAK SM+: a step ahead in the horizontal form fill seal

The main novelty is the new VOLPAK SM+, an innovative horizontal pouching platform suitable for supporting customers with very tight time-to-market needs and highly variable productions both in terms of product and format. Equipped with magnet-based transport technology, the SM+ line is designed to be truly modular, allowing for the flexible configuration of independent stations, as well as fully automatic changeovers.

Automated Packaging Lines: Unity means strength

Two VOLPAK machines will then be exhibited as part of integrated lines with other Coesia companies. The first line constitutes a turnkey system for the Food Industry: the VOLPAK SI 280 machine featuring options to manage sustainable films and automatic size changes will be integrated into an R.A Jones case packer and a FlexLink collaborative robot palletizer.

The second line is aimed at the pharmaceutical market. It integrates a Hapa hybrid inline printer with VOLPAK’s ENFLEX PH-11 sachet machine, equipped with a new powder dosing system that meets GMP requirements. The line is designed to streamline logistics and eliminate the uncertainties tied to the pre-printed foil reel supply chain while maintaining full compliance with pharmaceutical standards.

New Enflex PHS Series: Stick-pack machines for the Pharma Industry

Finally, as a further addition to its portfolio for the Healthcare sector, VOLPAK will also present the ENFLEX PHS-65, a new range of stick-pack machines designed specifically for pharmaceutical liquids and powders.
