Gezeiten has won this year's iF DESIGN AWARD together with the packaging manufacturer Corpack. The iF DESIGN AWARD honors outstanding design every year and is one of the most important design prizes worldwide. In the packaging discipline, the international jury of experts honored the zero-waste packaging solution “Skincare for the New Age” for its outstanding design. The refillable cosmetic jar convinced the independent expert jury with its innovative aesthetics, which reflects Gezeiten's claim and passion for a perfect product and a perfect brand experience. The number of applicants was large: almost 11,000 submissions from 56 countries. The implementation and development of the packaging up to industrial production maturity was carried out by Corpack together with the customer Gezeiten. Zero waste packaging solution The aim was to ensure a high-quality implementation of the existing design draft. This meant developing a refill system for the crucible without changing the external shape. The packaging solves the sustainability challenge by reducing the environmental impact through the use of recyclable materials, refill packs and original reuse. The refinement of the components played an important role in emphasizing the exclusivity of the design.
