As an alternative to the norm, we have launched an environmentally friendly packaging solution for packaging fast-food wraps. Our tamper evident designs ensure easy clipping for maximising hygiene protection and freshness. It furthermore ensures that a consumer can visibly see if the content has been tampered with as the tamper evident clip will tear off once opened. Our clear plastic fold over containers is fully re-usable, leak proof, recyclable and can be produced using food grade rPET too, supporting the return of post-consumer waste PET into SA’s economy; reducing dependence on virgin material whilst creating a demand-pull for plastics where infrastructure exists. Mpact Versapak is in the process of extending this design to their extensive clamshell range, ensuring that consumers enjoy the benefit of safely consuming food items across packaging items produced by Mpact Versapak. The wrap fold over container offers the same clarity as the rest of the clamshell range, for aesthetic purposes, as well as ridged lock points to fully seal the content.
