May 10, 2023 (press release) –

As part of their ESG commitment and continuous efforts to reduce the use of plastic packaging, British
fragrance makers Molton Brown are launching a made-to-last, refillable Bath & Shower Gel bottle collection.

Marrying luxury with circularity, the new Infinite Bottle is sustainable inside and out, allowing consumers to embrace a guilt-free, refined daily ritual. It’s infinitely recyclable and made from 100% recycled aluminium* – meaning that in the long run, its benefits offset its environmental impact. Molton Brown has been pioneers of positive luxury since the 1970s and the Infinite Bottle is the brand’s latest step in their ongoing sustainability journey.
In line with their parent company Kao’s Kirei mission to make life more beautiful for people while respecting the planet, Molton Brown continuously work on more earth-kind ways for consumers to feel good while doing good. Answering their community’s call for greener packaging solutions, Molton Brown already launched a Refill collection. This began with Refill pouches for their bestselling Fine Liquid Hand Washes alongside a treasure-forever Hand Wash glass bottle. The fragrance makers soon followed their success with Bath & Shower Gel Refill pouches – the perfect companion to replenish the new Infinite Bottle. And of course, the collections are proudly made in England with Molton Brown’s cruelty-free formulas.
Key Features of the Infinite Refill Bottle:
·        The Infinite Bottle is made from 100% recycled aluminium* which is infinitely recyclable, reducing energy use by 95% and CO2 emissions by 83% compared to virgin aluminium.
·        Each Infinite Bottle is filled with one of Molton Brown’s three iconic fragrances – Re-charge Black Pepper, Fiery Pink Pepper or Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel – all of which are formulated using sustainably sourced, RSPO-certified palm oil derivatives.
·        The paper used for the recyclable outer carton and tag is made from 40% recycled materials and 15% agro-industrial waste, consisting of upcycled plant by-products from the food and drinks industry.
·        When paired with Molton Brown’s 400ml Bath & Shower Gel Refill pouches, consumers’ plastic footprint is reduced by 63% compared to using Molton Brown standard bottles**
·        Elegantly printed with the unmistakable Molton Brown logo, its minimalist design fits seamlessly into all bathroom interior styles and is ergonomically shaped for an effortless bathing experience.

*Excluding pump
**Standard bottles refers to a total of 1 x 300ml and 1 x 100ml plastic bottles.
Molton Brown is committed to making a change. That’s why by 2030, Molton Brown’s goal is to ensure 50% of what they sell is reusable and refillable. Molton Brown’s efforts to reduce plastic packaging are part of Kao’s Zero Waste Mission and key element of its global ESG strategy, the Kirei Lifestyle Plan. The Japanese word ‘kirei’ describes something that is clean, well-ordered and beautiful, all at the same time. By 2030, Kao aims to empower at least 1 billion people, to enjoy more beautiful lives and have 100% of its products leave a full lifecycle environmental footprint that science says our natural world can safely absorb.
