Greiner Packaging had its sustainability efforts evaluated by the EcoVadis platform and was, again, awarded Gold. With 75 out of 100 achievable points, Greiner Packaging ranks among the best five percent of all evaluated companies. EcoVadis, a globally operating platform, compiles CSR ratings of suppliers for global supply chains. The evaluation is based on 21 indicators in the areas of environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Greiner Packaging was able to achieve extraordinarily high scores in the area Environment in particular, which underlines the company's commitment to the environment. But Greiner Packaging was also able to achieve above-average results in all other areas in comparison with other companies. "The rating received does not only distinguish the performance achieved. At the same time, it shows where there is potential for improvement and where we need to become even better in the future. We will therefore deal with the results in a targeted manner and learn from them in order to further enhance our sustainability activities," sums up Helmut Haberleitner, Global Director Procurement.
