Comment on Agreed Order and Public Participation Plan

June 4, 2024, 1 a.m. - July 9, 2024, 11:59 p.m.

We invite you to comment on draft Agreed Order and the associated Public Participation Plan for the former Grays Harbor Pulp and Paper Mill cleanup.

The site operated as a pulp and/or paper mill from the 1920s to 2013. Thie site is currently not operating. Industrial practices and historical land use by the mill owners and operators have resulted in contamination at the site.

The potentially liable party subject to the Agreed Order is Rayonier A.M. Properties, LLC (RAMP).

The site documents available for review and comment are:

The draft Agreed Order requires RAMP to investigate contamination at the site, evaluate options for cleanup, and develop a draft plan to clean up the contamination. The Public Participation Plan communicates how and at what stages Ecology will engage with the public during the cleanup process.
