Wacker appoints Dave Bloom as VP of North and Central America polymer business activities, overseeing operations including Calvert City, Kentucky, site. Bloom brings over 30 years of industry experience and 17 years with Wacker

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Wacker Chemical Corporation has named Dave Bloom as the vice president of North and Central America polymer business activities.

The company operates five polymer powder production sites, one of which is based in Calvert City, Kentucky . Calvert City is included in the region Bloom now oversees in his new role.

Wacker said Bloom assumed the vice president position effective March 1 . He succeeds Mathias Wiedemann , who took over as Wacker Biosolutions president on Jan. 1 .

In a news release, the company noted that Bloom has more than 30 years of industry experience, including 17 years with Wacker. He's served in multiple leadership roles with the company, including as the senior director of Wacker's consumer and industrial polymer business and marketing team in the North and Central America region.

"We have a very experienced and talented team," Bloom said in a statement included in the news release. "I'm looking forward to working with them to leverage our innovation capabilities and drive deeper customer collaboration, which will enable future growth across our markets."
