Sourcebooks announced that to help build its adult fiction list, the publisher has promoted six key editors across four of its five adult fiction imprints. In a release, Sourcebooks stated that it is making this move to capitalize on "a remarkable growth in the adult fiction space," that is continuing into 2025. Led by its
Bloom Books
and Poisoned Pen imprints, Sourcebooks had 53 titles hit PW's trade paperback list last year, good enough to make the company the fifth largest publisher of adult fiction in 2024, according to Circana BookScan. This year, Sourcebooks ranks third among adult fiction publishers, according to BookScan.

According to the announcement, the promotions reflect "the company's commitment to cultivating strong leadership from within." Among those gaining new responsibilities is
Shana Drehs
, an 18-year employee, who has been promoted to VP, editorial director for the Sourcebooks Landmark fiction imprint, as well as for its nonfiction list.
Christa Desir
, a five-year employee, has been promoted to VP, editorial director for
Bloom Books
, the company's imprint for entrepreneurial authors, and will also be in charge of Sourcebooks' romance list in general.
Anna Michels
, who initially joined Sourcebooks in 2012 as an intern, has been promoted to senior editorial director,
Poisoned Press
, as well as for its nonfiction list;
Mary Altman
, a 12-year employee, has been promoted to associate editorial director for Sourcebooks'
Casablanca
romance imprint;
Jenna Jankowski
, a six-year employee, has been promoted to assistant editorial director,

, a nine-year employee, has been promoted to assistant editorial director for Sourcebooks Landmark.
