April 29, 2025 (press release) –
A snapshot of shared learning: Sheridan Spring 2025 Print Masterclass attendees came together to discover, connect, and grow their knowledge of print.
Sheridan has successfully completed its third Print Masterclass, welcoming fifteen attendees from across the publishing industry to its Chelsea, Michigan facility for a two-day immersive learning experience. This recurring event is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of the print production process through a balance of classroom insights and interactive, hands-on learning.
Originally launched in 2024, the Sheridan Print Masterclass series has become a signature program for equipping publishing professionals with practical tools, industry knowledge, and real-world experience. From file preparation and production workflows to finishing and binding techniques, attendees gain a front-row view into how ideas become printed realities.
“Print Masterclass is more than a tour—it’s a knowledge-sharing forum where participants roll up their sleeves and actively engage with the print process,” said Laura Baker, Marketing Director at Sheridan. “The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and it’s rewarding to see how this program continues to evolve and make an impact.”
This spring’s agenda featured in-depth sessions on digital and offset printing, sustainability trends, common file prep challenges, and a behind-the-scenes tour of Sheridan’s manufacturing floor. The masterclass also provided opportunities for cross-industry dialogue among peers, fostering collaborative learning that extends beyond the event.
Emily Foulk, Production Assistant at Tyndale House, shared, “I enjoyed the tour and seeing ‘behind the curtain.’ I appreciated the hands-on examples—being able to see and touch things like ink, layered pages, and types of glue made it all click. It was an amazing event and very helpful for those who are newer in the field and even those who are more seasoned.”
Sheridan plans to continue hosting future Print Masterclass sessions across multiple locations, offering publishing partners a unique opportunity to strengthen their print knowledge and build lasting connections with Sheridan’s production experts and industry peers.
