Irvine, Calif., Feb. 25, 2025 – Roland DGA Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers, printer/cutters, and other innovative digital devices, is thrilled to partner with printer/installer Yofee of Coral Beach, FL. to bring interior designer Nikki Levy’s visions to life for the prestigious Kips Bay Showhouse in Palm Beach, FL, February 22nd - March 16th. Levy’s cutting-edge designs and award-winning style combine with the innovation and technology of the DG DIMENSE Dimensor S texture printer to showcase the endless possibilities in the interior design world.

Roland DGA has redefined the concept of custom design in interior spaces with its DG DIMENSE technology, which revolutionizes wall coverings and custom pieces – providing a new and accessible way to bring designs to life in both homes and commercial environments. The collaboration between Nikki Levy and Dimense technology to produce tactile flower-inspired wall coverings further enhances the industry's potential, showcasing the power of custom work through wallpapers, textures, and wall art in a new and tactile experience. The DG DIMENSE Dimensor S printer recently won the Inspire Award for Best Wall Coverings/Wall Treatment at Boutique Design New York (BDNY).

When asked about her collaboration with Roland DGA, Yofee, and the Dimense technology, Levy claimed that “after an extensive search for something truly unique, we had almost lost hope until a colleague in the industry introduced us to this game-changing technology. We were excited to discover the ability to create stunning 3D ceiling pieces, which perfectly aligned with our vision for this prestigious event. The Kips Bay Showhouse has launched countless iconic products and designers, and we knew we couldn't risk underwhelming. This collaboration allowed us to bring our boldest ideas to life, making it a perfect fit for one of the most celebrated interior design showcases of the year.”

Recent data shows that Levy’s vision is in line with top designer’s predictions for interior design in 2025. According to Roland DGA’s recent Interior Design Style ForecastLevel Up Labs 01 Introduction 02 State of Play in Design 03 Your 2025 Takeaways 04 Texture: It’s about the look and feel 05 Trading in 50 Shades of Gray for Bold Color 06 You-nique: A demand for custom spaces 07 Gatekeeping is in 08 Technical Craft 09 What is DG Dimense? 10 Contributors & Contact Information Table of Contents Introduction 01 Our homes serve many purposes - a place to live certainly, but also a place to work, to entertain, and even to hide away from the rest of the world. So it’s no surprise that, when it comes to how we design our spaces, tastes are constantly evolving creating a challenge for interior designers: how to keep up with client demand. It’s this challenge that we look to examine directly through the eyes of professional interior designers as they plan for the upcoming year. To find out more about what will be driving tastes in 2025 - and the challenges and opportunities interior designers see for the year ahead - Roland DGA commissioned a study of 500 senior interior designers and interior designer executives in the United States* to explore what they believe will drive conversation in the year ahead. 5 Top Takeaways Max Out: Minimalism and Scandi-inspired design has dominated the Pinterest boards and 1 inspiration charts over the past five years, but increasingly we’re seeing a shift towards bold colors, big prints, and texture over clean lines. Big & Bold > Gray & Neutral: Perhaps it was being sequestered in our homes that made 2 us realize a neutral canvas looked an awful lot like a padded cell - consumers have now done a 180 demanding brilliant colors and prints for their homes. 3 Custom is King: Everybody wants to be unique, to have a home that guests step into and think “wow this looks just like you.” Which leaves designers charged with identifying and executing on that vision. 4 But Custom is Hard: It’s one thing to execute a highly specific vision, it’s another to deliver on the promise of a fully unique interior, especially given the expense and contacts needed to develop and produce completely custom designs. Gatekeeping is In: Yes the supply chain is a mess, but finding good craftspeople and 5 trusted partners is an even bigger hurdle for designers prompting an industry-wide gatekeeping of contacts, making it harder for new designers to break into the industry. *The research was conducted by Censuswide, with 500 senior interior designers/interior designer executives in the United States aged 18+ between 25.10.2024 – 31.10.2024. Censuswide abide by and employ members of the Market Research Society which is based on the ESOMAR principles. Censuswide are also members of the British Polling Council. State of Play 02 in Design Even with impending returns to office for so many major companies, we can all agree we’ve spent more time in our homes over the past few years than ever before. More time to stare at empty walls and chipping cabinets and think...would something else look better? More often than not, we’re spurred on by stunning interiors on Pinterest and that TikTok influencer who seems to be constantly remodeling their home. For designers, consumers’ sudden urge to refresh their spaces is both a dream come true and a road full of challenges. Over the next few pages, we’ll explore some key takeaways from top designers around the country regarding the challenges they expect to face head on and the design styles they’re excited to see more of in 2025. “Social media has also inspired consumers to use real-life inspiration to find the colors they most want to feature in their homes. When you hire your designer for your home, you want something special, but it’s easy to latch onto that Pinterest board and want exactly what you see. This is really where it challenges a designer to get creative with balancing originality with timeless design, and the rapidly evolving trends the client sees on social media.” ~ Laurie Laizure Founder, Interior Design Community Your 2025 Takeaways Texture: It’s about the 04 look and feel Gone are the days when the only “texture” you see in a home are the dreaded popcorn ceilings. Instead, they’re replaced by the 45% of designers who have sourced textured wallpaper and/or paintings to add dimension and interest to their clients’ walls. In fact, 96% of designers are seeing a shift in preferences from minimalist and clean lines to designs that incorporate bold fabrics, layered patterns, and mixed materials. Designers are feeling the outside world’s impact on interior design in other ways too. “From my perspective, minimalism was a really big thing, maybe five, six years ago because the world was very different. When clients went home they wanted peace, and to quiet the noise, they wanted just natural, easy, breath of fresh air design,” said Shavonda Gardner, Owner of SG Style. “Since 2020, we’re no longer getting that daily dose of escapism from leaving our house to go to an office, so clients are craving more color and texture within their home design.” Trading in 50 Shades of 05 Gray for Bold Color For too long we’ve been trapped in gray boxes. At first thought of as calming and the ultimate neutral palate, 50 shades of gray are being swapped for colors that reflect the personality of those who live in the space. Custom color palettes inspired by unique client experiences are replacing traditional color schemes. Whether bold contrasts, pastel hues, or earthy tones, each shade is selected for its personal meaning and connection to the client. Over 36.4% of designers report that bold, dramatic contrasts are in high demand, with nearly one-third of those designers also noticing an increase in custom blends and unique color choices. This trend emphasizes how consumers year for ways to express individuality, with designers tailoring color schemes to match clients’ specific memories and preferences. You-nique: A demand 06 for custom spaces “I think that nowadays, people really want to express a personality. They don't want to be like everybody else, and so it is about personalization, customization you know, mixing things up.” - Jeanne K. Chung Considering the demand for custom color palates, it should come as no surprise that custom design in general is on the rise. Considered both one of designers’ biggest opportunities and biggest challenges, consumers harbor a deep desire for consumers to set their homes apart through anything and everything custom. Three quarters (76%) of designers have had most customers ask for everything from custom wallpaper to paint colors and furniture fabric. As popularity of custom and textured designs grow, so do the challenges related to material availability, budget, and supplier access. 48.2% 46.4% 40% of designers cite managing are struggling to report significant project client expectations around source high-quality delays (4-6 months) due custom designs as a major suppliers to supply chain issues challenge Gatekeeping is in 07 “Designers are struggling to find competent workers, real craftsmen. There’s a real problem in our industry to find quality craftsmen and those relationships are coveted.” ~ Laurie Laizure While everyone wants a custom home, very few realize the logistics behind the vision. With labor shortages across the country mixing with a severely weakened supply chain, designers are struggling to ensure they can deliver on custom promises. 46.2% 46.4% of designers currently are struggling to source high- outsource to mass printing quality suppliers companies for custom designs or printing Instead of working with small, local artists or shops, many are resorting to outsourcing to mass printing companies to make things like custom wall hangings and even wallpaper come to life. This option can lead to long production and shipping times when compared to local craftsmen. Yet another reason designers are so eager to gatekeep these valued contacts and relationships. Technical 08 Craft The rise in custom looks and bold innovation in design presents a real opportunity for interiors professionals to carve out new niches and must-have pieces, but this additional pressure to create something distinctive comes with its own technical challenges - particularly when it comes to the technical support needed to bring these designs to life. Designers are excited by the creative Emerging technology, like digital opportunities presented by the high texture printing, enhances quality and demand for customized wallcoverings. But craftsmanship while enabling more control over the final product. they have found traditional supply chains are not yet equipped to accommodate a Designers just need access to it.... high volume of custom orders, and often lack affordable solutions for unique items like custom wall coverings. 9 in 10 To cope with the demand for customized designers expressed interest in wall coverings and decor at an all-time purchasing their own digital texture high, many designers are expressing printing system if affordable interest in in-house or partnership with small-shop printers to meet client needs - or even in-housing some of the production capabilities.
