The municipality of Rantasalmi in the Finnish Savonia region has become the first customer of the Southern Savo  Association to introduce internationally recognised  Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified  management. The FSC certificate came into force in May 2025 and will guide the municipality's  management in an ecologically, socially, and economically sustainable way. The municipal board approved the updated FSC  plan on 19 May 2025. The plan covers the years 2025-2035 and has been prepared in cooperation with the  Association of Southern Savo.
