Karen Graley, head of EPR Producer Responsibility Organisation, to present 'Why do we need a producer-led PRO?’ at Environmental Packaging Summit; Graley to explain UK government’s process, outline next steps, highlight benefits of a producer-led PRO

The Environmental Packaging Summit has signed up Karen Graley, the Head of EPR Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO), on Day 2 of the conference.

Graley will open Day 2 with a presentation titled: Why do we need a producer-led PRO?

She will provide a very timely update and explanation on matters relating to the four governments’ and Pack UK’s process to appoint a Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO) to take on functions from the government-led pEPR scheme administrator.

Graley will:

• explain the governments’ process clearly
• outline expected next steps over the summer and autumn
• raise awareness on why having a producer-led PRO is beneficial for a variety of outcomes (environmental, economic and social).
