LOS ANGELES , April 8, 2024 (press release) –
Recycled polysulfone (PSF) prices in China began declining from March 10 onward, owing to a buildup of inventories and underwhelming sales, according to reporting by China Chemical Fiber Group.
Meanwhile, price decreases for virgin PSF varied by market, ranging from 200 Yuan/tonne to 400 Yuan/tonne.
Imported PET flake prices also lost traction amid weak demand for recycled fibers.
Going forward, PET flake supply is forecast to increase despite ongoing weakness in fiber market sentiment, contributing to a bearish forecast for prices.
