October 28, 2024 (press release) –

Delaware North CEO Lou Jacobs was joined by representatives from FeedMore Western New York (WNY) and community officials on Oct. 25 for the groundbreaking ceremony of FeedMore WNY’s new campus in the Town of Hamburg, a suburb of
Buffalo.

The construction of the new 197,700-square-foot facility marks a significant milestone in FeedMore WNY’s capital campaign, enabling the organization to continue expanding regional food programs, providing its current services and centralizing its regional operations on a 74-acre site in Hamburg.

“We are thrilled to reach this significant and exciting milestone in the FeedMore WNY capital campaign,” said Jacobs, who serves on FeedMore WNY’s board of directors and as co-chair of its capital campaign.

“The start of construction of the new campus marks a watershed moment in how we care for our neighbors – not just today, but for generations to come. We want to extend our deepest thanks to our elected leaders and all the community partners who have been such passionate champions of this effort,” Jacobs said.

Delaware North committed $1 million, in addition to a dollar-for-dollar match of the first $250,000 raised from the public campaign, to FeedMore WNY to assist with hunger relief throughout the community and building its new centralized facility.

Delaware North team members volunteer weekly by delivering meals to neighbors in the nearby West Side community of Buffalo through FeedMore WNY’s Adopt-A-Route program and host regular food donation drives at corporate headquarters to support FeedMore WNY.
