Beauty with feeling
Cosmetics are supposed to protect the skin, make people more beautiful and make them feel good. But nobody wants to pay for this positive feeling by harming our environment. That is why the cosmetics industry has long been a pioneer in the production of sustainable products. Right at the forefront: L'Oreal, the world's largest manufacturer of cosmetic products. Evonik and L'Oreal have a long-standing partnership, and now both companies are investing in the French start-up Abolis. Its credo is: "Satisfying the needs of our society without jeopardizing the future of our society." Organically sourced raw materials play a key role in this. Jelly as a road warrior
Mobility is no different. Many people want to travel individually without harming the climate. The car will continue to play an important role for a long time to come. However, for electromobility to become more widespread, batteries need to be better and the kilometers per charge need to increase. Admittedly, this is a phrase that is often heard. But now, with the solid-state battery, a whole new class of energy storage devices is coming into focus that promises not just an improvement, but a quantum leap. Evonik is developing a polymer that looks like solid jelly and should enable the hoped-for leap in development.
