The Commission launched a public consultation on the upcoming EU Bioeconomy Strategy on Monday (31 March), marking a key step in leveraging the bioeconomy to support businesses and advance the EU’s environmental, climate, and competitiveness goals.
Set for adoption by late 2025, the new strategy aims to drive innovation and maintain the EU’s bioeconomy leadership. It will outline measures to bring bioeconomy innovations to market, creating green jobs and growth.
The strategy will also emphasize circularity, sustainability, and decarbonization, while fostering a business-friendly environment for startups, entrepreneurs, and new models in the bioeconomy.
