LOS ANGELES , April 10, 2025 (Industry Intelligence Inc.) –
A while back, Brent Franson asked himself a question.
Looking at the health care landscape in the U.S. and coming to the conclusion that the system is flawed because it focused less on preventative care and more on care only when someone got sick, Franson asked himself if artificial intelligence could be used to fill the gap when it came to preventative care and make a longer, healthier life possible?
This question led to Franson's answer: Death Clock.
Don't let the name scare you. Death Clock is described by Franson as a "groundbreaking" app that aims to use AI to forecast aging trajectories and help individuals take control of their longevity.
"Death Clock AI analyzes your life choices to determine when you will die, and how you can improve your habits to live even longer," said Franson, whose app has seen more than 1 mllion users in just six months. "We've reached the point where people can now create personalized wellness/longevity plans to empower them to live better and longer."
Franson makes it clear that he is not a doctor and that Death Clock should not be used instead of medical care but rather in conjunction. That said, the app utilizes advanced AI and the most recent CDC data, along with insight from experts at Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA and NYU.
When someone downloads the app, he or she fills out a questionnaire of various health questions and then gives an estimated length of time that the person has to live based on their answers. From there, Death Clock creates a personalized longevity plan designed to maximize someone's healthspan based on bloodwork and labs, supplements, screenings, doctor discussion topics, devices and behavorial goals.
"Our mission is simple: To help 100 million people live 10 years longer," Franson said.
