Chemours Joins the Appalachian Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub Led by the State of West Virginia

Today Chemours’ announced its involvement and support of the Appalachian Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub (ARCH2), in collaboration with West Virginia and an outstanding group of corporate, non-profit, academic, and research partners. In response to the U.S. Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and the Department of Energy-led Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub Program, the ARCH2 hydrogen hub brings together producers, end-users, world-class technology experts, and the necessary infrastructure to advance the production, use, and delivery of hydrogen energy in Appalachia.
As the U.S. continues to transition toward cleaner energy sources, clean hydrogen energy can be a real game-changer. And Chemours’ chemistry has a vital role to play.
Our Nafion™ ion exchange materials sit at the center of both the water electrolyzers that convert renewable electricity into clean hydrogen energy and the fuel cells that deploy hydrogen energy for use in transportation and as back-up power for hospitals, buildings, and heavy industry.
