The latest in what's going on in the world of cereal:

Homemade cereal: Yes, it's possible

Do you know how to make homemade cereal? If not, Nara Smith can show you how.

Smith, a 22-year-old model based in Los Angeles, recently showed on TikTok how to make cereal from scratch by making chocolate chip cookie cereal, mixing flour, peanut butter, maple syrup, milk and chocolate, forming it into a dough and rolling tiny balls to resemble cookies.

She then put the dough in the oven for 10-13 minutes while starting to make cocoa puff cereal with similarly healthy ingredients.

She formed the dough into a ball, cut it into small cocoa puff balls, and popped them on the baking sheet in the oven for about 10 minutes.

Easy as pie. Or cereal.

The cereal buffet that will bring out the kid in everyone

Anyone who has ever gone to a breakfast buffet has seen cereal as an all-you-can-eat option. However, the cereals at these buffets tend to be on the plain side: Raisin Bran, Special K, Rice Krispies, and so forth.

But Cereal Dreams wants to change that perception.

The cerela bar/treat shop in South Orange, New Jersey, provides an all-you-can-eat cereal buffet that owner Anne Mandell said brings out the kid in everyone

The goal, Mandell said, is simple: Customers create their bowls of cereal, indulging in childhood favorites and discovering new flavors.

The cereal bar customization offers 25 cereals to choose from to mix and match, and the buffet also allows customization to accommodate dietary preferences such as gluten-free, kosher, or vegan options. Some highlights from the menu include Blueberry Cheerios, Chocolate Lucky Charms, French Toast Crunch, Froot Loops, and the ever-popular Cap’n Crunch Berries.

But don't worry: For those of you that shy away from the wild side,  Raisin Bran, Special K, Rice Krispies are still available.

The Fruity Pebbles you can wear

LeBron James is known for many things. NBA star, future Hall of Famer, and just recenty: the wearer of Fruity Pebbles on his feet.

OK, that's not quite the case. That said, the Nike LeBron 4 Menace “Fruity Pebbles” will release in Spring 2024 at select retailers in-store, online and Nike.com. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price tag is set at $230.

The shoe features a distinctive cereal piece pattern that emulates Fruity Pebbles, James' favorite childhood cereal.
