Canon Europe announces the launch of SELPHY CP1500, a new compact, wireless photo printer which is set to arrive in stores in autumn. The latest model in Canon’s popular SELPHY range of compact photo printers, the SELPHY CP1500 is the perfect way for people to preserve memories, from printing snapshots of daily family life to marking milestone moments with beautiful, durable prints that will stand the test of time. Thanks to a special protective coating, photos will last up to 100 years¹ when stored in an album.

SELPHY CP1500
With a sleek design that features a large LCD screen and a simplified set of buttons, the SELPHY CP1500 is extremely intuitive to use. Users can print images wirelessly from their smartphone, camera, or computer any time – or even just by directly inserting an SD card or USB flash drive into the printer. Creative possibilities are endless with the SELPHY CP1500, allowing users to print anything from postcard and credit card sized prints to mini stickers, perfect for journaling, scrapbooking and collaging – or adding a personal touch to birthday cards and thank you notes.
The upgraded SELPHY Photo Layout 3.0 smartphone app (supported on iOS, iPadOS, and Android2) can now also access camera or smartphone images uploaded onto social media or elsewhere on the cloud, allowing special memories that were previously stored away on phones to come alive as physical prints quickly and easily. At any one time, an unlimited number of smartphones can be connected to the SELPHY CP1500, making it the perfect companion for entertaining guests at parties and events. Pairing is quick and easy: simply scan a QR code with the SELPHY Photo Layout app to connect.
With fast dye-sublimation technology, this compact photo printer creates vibrant postcard-sized prints (10x15cm) in just 41 seconds3. At the end of the printing process, a special overcoat finish is applied to protect the photo from water, dirt, colour fading and unwanted fingerprints. Prints can be further personalised with a variety of creative customisation options that are available via the smartphone app. These include text, borders and patterned overlays, such as adding little paw prints to a precious image of your pet. Anyone wanting to share directly from a print will be able to add a custom QR code to their print – a fun way to promote a portfolio, website, or to share a photo album.
The SELPHY CP1500 promises to deliver highly durable, lab-quality prints in no time, allowing families to keep precious memories by either displaying the prints in a frame, storing them in an album or gifting them to relatives. Available from autumn 2022 in three colours, pricing and sales start will be announced later this year.
