CalChamber today issued the following statement in response to the release of draft regulations from CalRecycle to implement Senate Bill 54 (2022):

“CalChamber appreciates the willingness of the Administration and CalRecycle to roll up their sleeves and carefully consider how the implementation of this law will affect affordability for California families and businesses.

“All along, we have believed the regulations can support the continued health of the state’s economy by helping integrate the sweeping investments now being made to establish a true ‘circular economy.’

“We will carefully review the new draft regulations and look forward to engaging in additional discussion as the process moves forward.”
