May 30, 2025 (press release) –
Conference will bring together publishers, manufacturers, and other suppliers to help foster collaboration and learning in the changing book industry
[BRADENTON, FL] The Book Manufacturers’ Institute (BMI) is hosting the fifth iteration of its industry event, Book Manufacturing Mastered. The 2025 event will be held on Tuesday September 16th at the Thomson Reuters office at 3 Times Square. The first event was held February 10–11, 2020 in New York City just prior to the pandemic, with last year’s event being held in Boston.
Book Manufacturing Mastered 2025 will bring together leaders from across the publishing and printing industries for a full day of insights, collaboration, and connection. Attendees can expect a dynamic mix of presentations, panel discussions, and roundtable conversations focused on the most pressing issues and opportunities shaping the future of book manufacturing. From market trends and supply chain updates to emerging technologies and strategic partnerships, the event will provide valuable perspectives for all segments of the book production value chain. The day will conclude with a lively networking reception and tabletop exhibits, offering publishers, printers, and suppliers a chance to exchange ideas and explore new business opportunities.
Matt Baehr, Executive Director of BMI, said, “The book industry continues to transform, and Book Manufacturing Mastered remains committed to keeping every corner of the book ecosystem up-to-date on cutting-edge manufacturing developments while fostering collaborative innovation. Both publishers and manufacturers are enthusiastic about reconvening back in New York City for another successful event.”
Working with BMI, Book Manufacturing Mastered is being produced in partnership with a number of other book related trade associations, including: the Book Industry Study Group (BISG), the Association of American Publishers (AAP), the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA), the Protestant Church-Owned Publishers Association (PCPA), Association of Catholic Publishers (ACP), and the New York Book Forum.
The event is organized by an advisory panel comprised of publishers, manufacturers and suppliers. Also assisting the event are sponsors Thomson Reuters, Alberta Newsprint Company, Bradford and Bigelow, Maple Press and more.
