June 16 --

UFlex Limited , India's largest multinational flexible packaging company, is set to present its latest advancements in sustainable packaging and recycling at the Global Conclave on Plastics Recycling and Sustainability (GCPRS) 2025. The event will take place from June 17 to 20, 2025 , at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi . Organized by the All India Plastics Manufacturers' Association (AIPMA) and the Chemicals and Petrochemicals Manufacturers' Association (CPMA), GCPRS brings together global stakeholders focused on responsible plastics use, waste reduction, and building circular economies.

At the event, UFlex will showcase breakthrough technologies from its Packaging Films and Engineering divisions. These innovations aim to reduce environmental impact and enhance the recyclability and reuse of plastic materials.

The Packaging Films division will introduce a novel "single-pellet solution" that combines over 30% recycled PET with virgin PET to create packaging suitable for direct food contact. This food-grade material, approved by the USFDA , offers excellent clarity and durability while lowering harmful byproducts like acetaldehyde. The solution is compatible with existing PET processing lines, allowing easy adoption without the need for new machinery. With this development, UFlex becomes the only Indian company in its category to secure certified recycling approvals for PET, PE, and PP food-grade packaging.

Simultaneously, the Engineering division will conduct a live demonstration of its ReLAM 50 system, a compact unit designed to recycle up to 50 kg of mixed flexible plastic waste per hour. Developed for small-scale businesses, rural operators, NGOs, and municipal waste systems, ReLAM 50 converts challenging plastic waste into usable granules and panels. These recycled outputs can be transformed into everyday items like furniture, tiles, and utility products using standard molding or extrusion techniques. The system encourages community-level participation in plastic recovery efforts and promotes local circular economy models.

UFlex, founded in 1985, operates across all segments of the packaging industry, including films, chemicals, engineering, holography, and printing solutions. Headquartered in Noida, India , the company employs over 12,000 people globally and serves clients in more than 150 countries, including leading names in FMCG, healthcare, consumer goods, and industrial sectors. With manufacturing hubs across India , the UAE , Egypt , Mexico , the U.S. , Poland , Nigeria , Hungary , and the CIS region, UFlex continues to play a key role in advancing sustainable packaging practices worldwide.

Recognized internationally for innovation and environmental leadership, UFlex was the first company to be acknowledged at the Davos Recycle Forum in 1995 for pioneering solutions to manage mixed plastic waste. Its participation at GCPRS 2025 reaffirms its commitment to shaping a more responsible and circular future for the packaging industry.
