The Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response, part of the Department of Health and Human Services, Oct. 10 activated the Emergency Prescription Assistance Program to aid uninsured Georgians impacted by Hurricane Helene for prescription drug and certain medical equipment replacement. The agency previously activated EPAP for uninsured residents in North Carolina and Tennessee to replace medications and equipment lost or damaged due to the hurricane.
